The Art Barn is a beautiful, unusual and stylish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, ( one en suite ) newly renovated barn. In a tranquil, yet accessible countryside setting, overlooking fields and an old stable yard. A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Numerous attractions to discover include Jane Austen’s 17th century house, Mid Hants steam railway, Bird World, Uppark, Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and Hollycombe steam collection.
A wonderfully spacious old barn that has been completely renovated. When not in use for guests, I sometimes teach and run drawing workshops in and around the Art Barn, hence the name. Please ask if you would like to book any additional art lessons during your stay.
Huge SmartTV with wifi. As back up we have plenty of DVDs, books and board games. If you or you have children staying who are box set/game obsessed, we recommend pre downloading movies and games onto their Ipads.
There is a private patio/grassed area at the back of the barn for your sole use. It is screened from the main house and our private garden by trees. There is an outdoor table and benches for 6 and you are welcome to BBQ and relax in the sun.
Interaction with guests
We like to give our guests space but are always around up at the main house if you need us.
Other things to note
There is a large bouncy grey dog on the property, a huge silver labrador. He is very friendly! The big grey cat, Spartapuss, keeps himself to himself. Please keep gate to bridlepath and to each side of barn shut at all times so dog does not escape.
