HOW THE COMMISSION WILL PROGRESS….
Georgea would initially have a phone conversation to establish your portrait ideas then follow up with a personal visit to your home. She likes to meet the intended subject and to discuss all the other important factors such as, where he/she will pose, whether alone or with another subject, with a plain background, an interior setting or in a landscape. Where the portrait will finally hang is also to be considered, to help Georgea establish the size and composition.
Of course Georgea is happy to paint your animal in any medium you prefer, with any other subjects or motifs included. Landscapes with any particular landmarks or favourite architecture can also be incorporated.

TECHNIQUE AND MEDIUM
Georgea’s absolute goal with each painting is to capture her subject’s individual qualities.

She paints in watercolor, oil and acrylic and also uses sepia, pastels and charcoal. In fact she is happy to work in any medium that the client requests yet is suitable to the subject matter.
PAINTING FROM PHOTOGRAPHS
Only under exceptional circumstances will Georgea paint from a photograph. Sometimes it is necessary if the portrait is to be a surprise. Obviously posthumous portraits are always attempted if the photographs provided are clear enough to work from.
FRAMING
Framing costs are not included but Georgea can advise on appropriate styles and arrange for the service.
TRAVEL
Georgea will travel anywhere worldwide but airplane fares will have to be mutually agreed before purchase due to price variations.
No travel expenses incurred if dog or subject is within 25-mile driving radius of San Francisco.
50% Deposit required upon commission and 50% balance upon completion.
Size of the portrait and the background (whether a generic landscape or a plain color) is to be chosen by client but Georgea is happy to advise. Should the client desire a particular interior, landscape or landmark to be included in portrait then price may alter.
